In Wave Motion he ventures into not so familiar grounds, with a collection of humble drum patterns that unveil another side of this producer. Fat Jon has worked along side the likes of Rakim, Talib Kweli, Black Starr, Mood, J-Live, Hieroglyphics, Lone Catalysts and Doseone. A lucrative beat maker Fat Jon has come to show that he can do it without lyrics as well. The album itself plays symbiotically with the atmosphere. It's head nodding testament that producers are more and more evolving into sound crafting storytellers. If you get bored you can always freestyle over one of the beats. His mood is universal and it's an album that plays like the space shuttle. I just wish more producers would do this more. - Ghetto Blaster |
