| If deep is how you creep, don't let Wave Motion sneak past. Fat Jon takes cues from early Premier and Pete Rock's jazzy joints, but tones it down and lightly trips it out. Warm, uncluttered piano, sax and flute melodies drift over gently ricocheting beats and round bass. Wave Motion may not get hands in the air, but the mellow groove keeps heads bobbing. If you're looking towards illin' or feel modern production's ailin', this Physician has a cure. - Mixer |
