| An impressive collection of instrumental, electronically-enhanced post-rock from Arizona-based brothers Michael and Jared Bell, Love Your Abuser is a multi-faceted beast of a record. Starting with the melodic laptop-shaped introduction, "Rest Easy/Age Kindly" the album gets off to a rather grand, epic start, followed up by the title track, a fuzzy collage of distorted drums, Mum-style harmonium and sweetly jangling percussion. The maxed-out beats and Sufjan-style brass section on "Astrology Days" make for a potent cocktail, and the emotive - if slightly ominous - glockenspiel-enhanced "Truth Skull" sounds akin to Mogwai, albeit with a hip hop element.
