MH-261 Lymbyc Systym - Love Your Abuser Remixed  Lymbyc Systym’s has made many new friends in the last year and a half as they’ve toured in support of their Mush Records debut, Love Your Abuser. They’ve asked some of those friends – The Album Leaf, The One AM Radio, Daedelus, This Will Destroy You, and Back Ted-N-Ted – to remix some of the material from their album. In addition Mush Records’ Black Country Bibio and Austinite Reference turn in masterful reworkings. Each artist adds their unique touches to Lymbyc Systym’s already epic source material, Working simultaneously as a companion piece to 2007’s Love Your Abuser and as a compelling album on its own, Love Your Abuser Remixed is further testament to Lymbyc Systym’s powerful presence in the instrumental music scene. |

| Instrumental indie rock remix albums are a rite of passage. For Austin/Phoenix-based duo Lymbyc Systym, comprising brothers Michael and Jared Bell, the honorary process rightfully follows last year's stellar Love Your Abuser and includes contemporaries like San Marcos' This Will Destroy You and Ninja Tune artist Daedelus, who molds closer "... So We Can Sleep" after his own image. Comparable to ATX mainstay My Education's Moody Dipper, the One AM Radio emphasizes the line of mariachi trumpets in "Astrology Days" over a Kid A-era electronic beatscape, while the Album Leaf strips down "Fall Bicycle" into a sparse, tranquil bed of vintage synths and xylophone. Lymbyc Systym reworks its own "Birds" and "Idle Wires," the former morphing into a scrambled and cinematic sprawl of laptop post-rock, while the latter's piecemeal, magnetic ambience sounds like the missing link between Four Tet and Et Ret.
