MH-261 Lymbyc Systym - Love Your Abuser Remixed  Lymbyc Systym’s has made many new friends in the last year and a half as they’ve toured in support of their Mush Records debut, Love Your Abuser. They’ve asked some of those friends – The Album Leaf, The One AM Radio, Daedelus, This Will Destroy You, and Back Ted-N-Ted – to remix some of the material from their album. In addition Mush Records’ Black Country Bibio and Austinite Reference turn in masterful reworkings. Each artist adds their unique touches to Lymbyc Systym’s already epic source material, Working simultaneously as a companion piece to 2007’s Love Your Abuser and as a compelling album on its own, Love Your Abuser Remixed is further testament to Lymbyc Systym’s powerful presence in the instrumental music scene. |

| This remix album pays testament to the number of friends and allies Lymbyc Systym have made over the course of the past 12 months or so, spent touring off the back of their Love Your Abuser long-player. Arizona-based siblings Michael & Jared Bell make a kind of rewired post-rock that lends itself well to being given the remix treatment, and here such notable talents as Daedelus, Eliot Lipp, Bibio, The Album Leaf and The One AM Radio all get in on the act. There are even a couple of tracks given an overhaul by Lymbyc Systym themselves, slotting in nicely between the remixes by more established production units. In fact, the whole record holds together extremely well as a single body of work, regardless of how many different hands it's passed through, although predictably, Daedelus ruptures the electronic, post-hop sound flow with his supremely elegant parting remix of "... So We Can Sleep" which sounds like something from a 1940s movie. - That Shoryuken Touch |
