Here is a list of things that I felt while listening to Tree Colored See: Catching frogs as a child. Soundtrack for the “Tunnel of Love” amusement park ride. Watching baby tigers fight over a rack of lamb while sitting on the tailgate of a covered wagon. Magic swans tapping their webbed feet with enjoyment. A merman orchestra. Here is a real description of the band/album: Chris Gunst of Beachwood Sparks fame, Jen Cohen of The Aislers Set, and Nobody (Elvin Estella) have joined forces to create the perfect soundtrack to your next mid-afternoon daydream session. Tree Colored See combines Chris and Jen’s sunshine folk-rock instrumentation and laid-back vocals about all the little nothings that make up a great day with Nobody’s psychedelic beats and sampling techniques. The idea works quite successfully mostly due to the fact that no single person is trying to hog the limelight. If you can look past the freaky eyeball on the cover, you will find a quite pleasant album. - Oh No! |
