| Listener has built a solid resume after partaking in projects with Deepspace5 and Labklik and Mars Ill to name a few. This, his first solo effort and is a potential classic. He blends detailed mental self-examination of feelings, thoughts, and motives with an old school vibe. The production is mostly dark and dusty, and is handled by Dust of Mars Ill. Listener catches your ear with a straightforward flow and impressive lyrics to match, but being straightforward doesn't mean monotone or boring. On the contrary it's interesting, at times off beat but not too complicated to pick up. Notable tracks that shine are "FYI," "Decadence," "You Will Be My Music," and "Crystal Methods." Very difficult to find flaws in this excellent piece of work. - Insomniac |
