cLOUDDEAD continues their run of impressive ten-inch releases with their new EP, The Sound Of A Handshake/This About The City. Written shortly after the licensing deal between Mush and Big Dada was finalized, "The Sound Of A Handshake" touches on the insecurity of having personal art go public and the realization that contracts are a ridiculousness necessity. The movement ends with odd nosdam's new mantra: "you must be satisfied." Written on a trip to and from the grocery store, "This About The City" combines the singsong vocal play of Doseone and why? with an electronic space-rock hybrid that could only be from odd nosdam to chronicle the sights, sounds, and smells of a Berkeley bus ride.
