Imbue Up is the debut EP from the North Carolina based duo, Pressed And. A testament to the naturalistic undertones and daring eccentricities of the exploding southeastern electronic music scene, the album is a complex interplay of primal effects and synth landscapes, rife with tension in a cascading sequence of loops and glowing drones. The seven-track, twenty-seven minute EP is accompanied by an equal number of videos. First dubbed a "Visual EP' by the well-known music site Stadiums And Shrines, the clips feel surprisingly cohesive given that each was masterminded by a different director and take markedly different approaches to filming, found footage and editing. Ranging from the hard hitting drums and cutting bass of "Fire Shelf" and "Raid" to the subtle ambience of "Etching" and "Parties" through all of the surprising change-ups and sound manipulation on the tracks that fall sonically in between, Imbue Up is an album of sensation, that lingers and mingles in ways you rarely expect.
