Emerald Rain is the third track from Corduroi’s second upcoming EP Future Adventures, out February 14th (Valentine’s Day) on Mush Records. These new sounds are slightly more sophisticated and go further in depth in regard to his previous electronic compositions. It’s nothing like Corduroi has produced before. One reason may be because this track, along with one other on the upcoming EP, was co-produced by Austin producer Galapagos. Either way, his music has grown.
If you’re unfamiliar with the Texas native that is Cody Wilson (Corduroi), it’s not to late to study up before the release of his upcoming EP. Corduroi sprung in 2005, sampling live instruments through his computer’s microphone and playing with anything he could get his hands on including guitar, ukulele, glockenspiel, toy piano, accordion, and trumpet. Since then, his experimental sounds have evolved maturely. I can’t wait to hear the full album and experience his new musical explorations. - The Record Stack |
