MH-044 Thavius Beck - Go!/Away  In anticipation for the releases of Dialogue, his third Mush full-length, Thavius Beck has assembled the Go!/Away split single. The album versions of "Go!" and "Away" are accompanied by two distinctive remixes. "Go!" is rebuilt from the ground up by UK producer Offshore into a loping mix that finds the dirtiest-Southernmost synths sailing above a half-time electro drum beat that will bleed your woofers dry. "Away" is given a twitchy, paranoiac retrofitting by one of the Los Angeles beat scene's brightest, Flying Lotus. For those anxiously awaiting the latest Thavius Beck full-length, the Go!/Away single will be a feast for hungry ears. |

| How good is this? We’ve touted Aberdeen beatsmith Offshore in the past... His first contribution... will be a remix of Thavius Beck, the guy who co-produced the album with the worst title of all time, Trent Reznor and Saul Williams’ Niggy Tardust project. Shudder. But he also produced the perfectly fine album by K-The-I??? [what’s with these awful names today? – Ed] and now returns with a solo album, Dialogue. The first single from Dialogue is Go!/Away, and comes backed with remixes by Offshore and leftfield LA hip-hop icon Flying Lotus – and seriously, this Offshore remix is something special. All the minimalist might of prime Neptunes productions (think "Hot"), with the flattened crunk of fellow Scot Rustie that we love so much. What are you waiting for? - Fact |
