Daedelus And Bigg Jus On CMJ Year End Charts	12/2006	Daedelus and Bigg Jus made some great showings on the CMJ Charts this year, finishing the year as the #13 RPM and #48 Hip-Hop albums of the year, respectively. Congratulations to them, and thanks to all of the DJs that played Mush Records releases this year!

K-The-I??? Album Release Party	12/2006	K-The-I??? will be hosting a live event at Space in Portland, Maine to celebrate the release of his debut Mush album, Broken Love Letter.

Mush Records Drops Prices On Music In Our Online Store!	12/2006	As one of our largest chain carriers is going out of business (RIP Tower Records), we've dropped prices on CDs and full-length vinyl (now both $10) to make it easier to pick up our releases if you don't live close to an independent record store. Also, since the holidays are upon us, we're launching a special promotion that will run through Jan 1, 2007: BUY ANY COMBINATION OF MERCHANDISE FROM OUR STORE TOTALLING $30 OR MORE, AND RECEIVE A 30% DISCOUNT ON YOUR TOTAL ORDER. That means two CDs will cost you $20 ($10 each), but three will only cost you $21 ($30 with a 30% discount); one t-shirt will cost you $15, but two will only cost you $21 ($30 with a 30% discount). Antimc DJ Mix Gets Love Around The Internet	11/2006	Antimc's promotional DJ mix, Love Letter to Los Angeles, has been getting some great coverage around the web. Grandgood has posted it up with a preview of Antimc's album, as has Los Angeles culture blog Rabbit Tusk. The mix is a compilation of Los Angeles underground music from 1978-1995, and is meant to give people an idea of what feuled the diversity of his Mush solo release It's Free, But It's Not Cheap.

Bibio Considers Psych Folk In DIW	11/2006	The latest issue of DIW has a piece written by Stephen Wilkinson (aka Bibio), in which he considers the effects of psychedelic folk music, and more specifically the Incredible String Band, on how he hears music and, more importantly, how he creates music. Andre Afram Asmar To Play Trilogy Q06	10/2006	Andre Afram Asmar will be performing for all three days of the Trilogy Qualifier at the National Orange Show in San Bernadino, CA. Also on this huge bill are Z-Trip, Mike Jones, Barrington Levy, E-40, Jim Carroll, the Shapeshifters, and many more. Andre's main stage set will feature a live backing band performing songs from Racetothebottom. In the DJ Dome, Andre will be performing a live dub session with an added percussion section. Check back for more details as they become available.

Daedelus DJ Mix For Tokion	10/2006	Daedelus has submitted a continuous DJ mix to the folks at Tokion. Head over to Tokion's web site and check out the TokionFM section to hear it. Beware of kicking your computer over while you dance!

Lymbyc Systym Delivers Love Your Abuser	10/2006	Arizona duo Lymbyc Systym have submitted their first full-length for release on Mush Records. The album, Love Your Abuser, is ten tracks of beautifully expansive instrumental rock with tasteful electronic accents. Check for Love Your Abuser in stores in January.

Antimc Featured In Stüssy Japan's Fall Collection Catalog	10/2006	Stüssy, one of the world's most venerated streetwear brands, has chosen Antimc to grace the pages of their Japanese 2006 Fall Collection magazine. The photos, which centered on the Los Angeles music, fashion, and art scenes, also featured are Peanut Butter Wolf of Stone's Throw Records, Blu Jemz of Turntable Lab LA, high fashion ingenue Erin Wasson, and many more. If you happen to be in Japan, be sure to pick up a copy.

Lymbyc Systym Supporting The Album Leaf	10/2006	The Lymbyc Systym have almost completed recording of their as-yet-untitled Mush debut, and are planning on wrapping it up before hitting the road around the United States in support of The Album Leaf. Nobody Remix Album With Numerous Mush Tracks	10/2006	Plug Research will be issuing a collection of Nobody's remix work entitled Revisions, Revisions. XLR8R has released a track listing and synopsis of the album, which is to be released on Halloween. Included on Revisions, Revisions are tracks from three Mush Records releases, including "From South Carolina" from Her Space Holiday's The Young Machines Remixed, Busdriver's Unemployed Black Astronaut (Nobody Remix) from the Avantcore single, and Clue To Kalo's "When Tommy Fixes Fights" from the Japanese release of One Way, It's Every Way.

Mush Records Fall 2006 Tour, Featuring Daedelus, Caural, And Thavius Beck	10/2006	Mush Records is proud to announce our Fall 2006 Tour, a showcase of three extremely talented electronic artists: Daedelus, Caural, and Thavius Beck. Daedelus will be touring in support of Denies the Day's Demise and the Sundown EP, travelling with his incredible magic box that has received so much attention as of late. Caural will be performing music from Remembering Today and his upcoming Mirrors for Eyes, and will surely impress those who did not catch him on tour with Busdriver, Pigeon John, and Akrobatik. Thavius Beck, touring in support of the recently released Thru, always impresses with his arsenal of electronic gadgets and heavy live set. Mush Signs Boy In Static, Boston Phoenix Discusses	10/2006	Mush Records has recently signed Boston, Massachusetts' Boy In Static. His debut release for the Notwists' Alien Transistor records, Newborn, saw him hit the ground running to rave reviews and invitations to tour with established bands. Look for a release from Boy In Static on Mush in 2007. The Boston Phoenix recently ran a piece on two local acts signing to Mush: the aforementioned Boy In Static, and across-the-river based MC K-The-I???. Check out all of the great things they had to say about these two. in a piece entitled "Static Movements."

Clue To Kalo Video Finished	09/2006	Clue to Kalo have wrapped up a video clip for "The Just Is Enough" from One Way, It's Every Way. Directed by Charles Spano of Common Deer, the clip fits wonderfully with the mood of Clue to Kalo's music. Enjoy!

Nobody & Mystic Chords Of Memory Play With Vashti Bunyan & The Polyphonic Spree	09/2006	Nobody & Mystic Chords of Memory will be playing in support of Vashti Bunyan in Los Angeles at the Echo, and have been added for support to the Polyphonic Spree show at Los Angeles' Henry Fonda Music Box Theater, the following night. If you're in Los Angeles, these live shows will definitely be worth checking out.

Blue Sky Black Death Featured Online	09/2006	Blue Sky Black Death have been featured on Bohemian.com, a website dedicated to arts and culture in the San Francisco Bay Area. The piece, entitled "Wild Blue Yonder," is a discussion with Young God about the duo's beginnings and inpirations, and the decision to release the album A Heap of Broken as a double disc set, among other things.

Caural Submits Video For Lake	09/2006	Caural has submitted a video for the track "Lake" from Remembering Today. The video was masterfully directed by Sean Capone, and all of the images are manipulated photos taken entirely on a cell phone.

Busdriver Plays Two Shows With CocoRosie, With Two Different Sidemen	09/2006	Busdriver will be playing two live California shows with old school chums CocoRosie. The first will be in San Francisco at the Great American Music Hall with Antimc backing him up on the beat machines. The second show is at the Avalon in Los Angeles with Caural on backing duties. If you are in either city on either day, this is a great billing and will be well worth attending. We've added all pertinent information to our shows page.

Lymbyc Systym Recording For Mush	09/2006	Mush Records is excited to announce the signing of the Lymbyc Systym. The duo, composed of brothers Mike and Jared Bell on drums/electronics and keyboards respectively, have self-released one EP and thanks to a rigorous touring schedule, quickly established themselves as a force on the instrumental post-rock scene. The band is currently recording their Mush debut, which will be delivered in the coming months.

Bigg Jus And Radioinactive On Tour	08/2006	Bigg Jus and Mush Records' alum Radioinactive will be hitting the road, touring the western United States including Hawaii, late this month. Jus will be performing tracks from Poor People's Day as well as selected songs from his previous solo and Company Flow work. Bigg Jus Behind The Orange Curtain	08/2006	Bigg Jus has been featured in the OC Weekly in anticipation of his performance in Costa Mesa on the Paid in Fool's Gold Tour. The piece is online now, and will be available in print shortly.

Blue Sky Black Death Profiled	08/2006	Blue Sky Black Death have been profiled on Wu International, a website dedicated to artists affiliated with the Wu Tang Clan. Bigg Jus Submits Video For Hieronymus Bosch	08/2006	Bigg Jus teamed up with Stemspot, who has created videos for Diplo's "Thingamajawn," Madvillain's "Shadows of Tomorrow," and Jus' own "Silver Back Mountain King," to create a video for the track "Illustrations of Hieronymus Bosch... That 1497 Shit." The two parties have truly captured on film the urgency of Jus' music. We hope you like it!

Thavius Beck And Busdriver In Resonance Photo Issue	08/2006	Resonance has dedicated their 50th Issue to some of the great images that have been run in the magazine so far. Daedelus Featured Heavy In Re:Up	08/2006	Re:Up Magazine have recently featured Daedelus twice in their latest issue. The first piece, entitled "Manual 007 Rewiiiiiiiiiiind!" looks back at Daedelus' interview with the Monome (that magic box he plays live), while the second is entitled "The $72 Re-Up" and describes Daedelus' trip to the Santa Monica Vintage Clothing Expo.

Antimc Delivers Debut Solo Full Length	08/2006	Antimc has handed in the master to his first full-length solo album, It's Free, But It's Not Cheap. Recorded while working on his previous Mush releases and in between touring with Boom Bip, Busdriver, Radioinactive, among others; the album is a collection of nine songs, with guests: Anthony Anzalone (frontman of Japanese hardcore band Issei Sagawa, formerly of the Mean Reds), Busdriver, Cadence Weapon, Andrew Broder (the mastermind behind Fog), Saafir, and Mark Mitchell (of Mush Records' own Clue to Kalo), that will establish him as one of Los Angeles' elite beatsmiths as well as a producer/songwriter in his own right. The album has been licensed for the UK and Europe by upstart Scottish label KFM Records. Look for the album to release this fall.

Clue To Kalo Touring Australia In August	08/2006	Clue to Kalo has just announced dates for an Australian tour; Mark and the boys will be embarking on these series of live shows with Casiotone for the Painfully Alone.

K-The-I??? To Release Mush Album	07/2006	All the details have been ironed out, the album has been mixed, and K-The-I???'s Mush Records debut, Broken Love Letter has been handed in. For those who don't know him yet, K-The-I??? is a Cambridge, MA based emcee who has been making noise on the East Coast for some time now, most recently with his work on the latest NMS record (with Bigg Jus and Orko Eloheem). His latest album, Broken Love Letter, is a hip-hop breakup record, full of thick production and brilliant lyrics. Look for Broken Love Letter to be in stores mid-fall. While you wait, check out a couple of pieces of K-The-I??? online press from Soundclick and AltRap.

Nobody & Mystic Chords Of Memory And Mush Records Profiled In LA Weekly	07/2006	Alie Ward of the LA Weekly recently paid a visit to Mush HQ to have a look around at the operation and find out a bit about us. Nobody & Mystic Chords Of Memory In The Los Angeles Times	07/2006	Nobody & Mystic Chords of Memory have been receiving some great press in Southern California. They have been featured in the Los Angeles Times' Buzz Bands column, written by Kevin Bronson. The feature includes some background on the recording of Tree Colored See, and is a great precursor to their performance at the Hypnorituals... Festival at the El Cid.

Clue To Kalo Delivers New EP, To Be Released As Picture Disc	07/2006	So... It's been a while since we've done a Mush Records picture disc, and the timing just felt right. Clue to Kalo has been successfully building a following in Australia and the United States with amazing live shows and consistently great music. Featuring four songs of brilliant Clue to Kalo songcraft that delves further into the folk ethers explored on One Way, It's Every Way, including his cover of the Beatle's "Mother Nature's Son" from the BBC White Album Tribute, and art by Martin Ernstsen. Look for this picture disc, entitled Man Who Took a Step Expecting a Stair, But Instead Got Level Ground, in stores come late-fall.

Nobody & Mystic Chords Of Memory To Headline One Night Of Devendra Curated Festival	07/2006	Nobody & Mystic Chords of Memory have been asked to play the Devendra Banhart curated festival Hypnorituals and Mesmemusical Miracles Hanging in the Sky: 5 Nights of Soleros and Bandoleros at El Cid!!!!!!! to be held over four days at Los Angeles' El Cid night club. They will be headlining the third night, July 20, sharing the evening with Subtitle, Mountain Party and others. Names announced so far for the festival, which runs July 18-21, include Jana Hunter, Sir Richard Bishop of the Sun City Girls, and Coconut Scarcity of Tanks Hecuba. All pertinent information for the live gig has been added.

Bibio Licensed For L.L. Bean Ad	07/2006	Bibio's track "Bewley in Grey" from his debut, fi, has been licensed by L.L. Bean for their new advertising campaign. The spot looks great, and the use of the track is perfect. Be sure to take a look and a listen!

Daedelus In DIW	07/2006	Daedelus has been chosen as, one of the Devil in the Woods', Beat Conductors & Sample Salesmen, along with Ghislain Poirier, Jneiro Jarel, and Dabrye. The article looks at producers that are reinventing the way beats are made.
