Boy In Static On CMJ, Covers CD | 06/2007 | Boy In Static was recently featured on CMJ.com for his part in a special project put together by some of Boston's brightest new talent Bon Savants, Hooray For Earth, and Aberdeen City. The four acts have put together a CD of covers by earlier Boston area greats, like Sebadoh and The Cars, to be sold exclusively at a local show. The performance will take place on June 8th. Proceeds from both the event and the CD will go toward the Boston Children's Hospital. Also, check out Boy In Static's cover of Sebadoh's "Skull." |

Boy In Static Japan License, Single | 05/2007 | To commemorate the licensing of Boy In Static's Violet by Japan's & Records, the label asked Alex Chen to put together some remixes of the lead single, Where It Ends to add as bonus material for the CD. The results were breathtaking reworks of the original by Helios, Her Space Holiday, and Future Bible Heroes - a side project of the Magnetic Fields' Stephen Merritt and ex-Figures On A Beach member Chris Ewen. Mush Records has secured the rights to release the remixes in the United States, and will package them with a shortened single mix of the album version for release this Fall. |

Thavius Beck Remixes Nine Inch Nails | 04/2007 | Thavius Beck has been making some important moves lately, collaborating with Trent Reznor and Saul Williams. One of the products of that teaming up is the "Tardusted Remix" of NIN's latest single, "Survivalism." The track is available for play on Thavius' Myspace page, and as part of the "Survivalism" CD single which is available April 2 throughout Europe, and will be included on the "Survivalism" 9" (that's right, 9") single, available in the UK on April 9. The UK single will also feature a Saul Williams and Thavius Beck remix called the "OpalHeartClinic Remix." The remixes will be available in the United States from iTunes with download of the new NIN album Year Zero. |
New Lymbyc Systym Tour Dates | 04/2007 | Lymbyc Systym are heading back out on the road this month for over a dozen dates in support of their Mush Records debut full-length, Love Your Abuser. This stint will see them playing mostly on the West Coast, and supporting the Album Leaf in the southwest, before they head out on a full Album LEaf tour later this month. There will be a couple of special performances: an in-store at San Francisco's Amoeba Music, and a live in-studio session at Seattle's KEXP. We've added these dates to our shows page. |

Mush Records SXSW CD Give Away | 03/2007 | If you happen to see any of the Mush artists walking around Austin the week of SXSW, ask them for a FREE CD Card. The first 200 people to present this card at the Mush SXSW showcase will receive 2 FREE CDs (we will have 4 or 5 titles to choose from). Opening acts (Zeale 32 from Austin and Perseph1 from Houston) will be on stage at 8PM while the Mush artists peform from 9PM. Last year's show was completely full by 10PM. We have some excellent acts playing early in the night and the FREE CD promotion will go quickly, so please plan on getting there for the start of the show. |
Mush Records SXSW 2007 Showcase | 03/2007 | Mush Records will once again be taking over Austin, Texas' Zero Degrees on March 16, 2007 for our SXSW Showcase. This year's lineup of electronic and hip-hop acts will also feature some friends of the label and some surprise guests. Her Space Holiday Meets Bill Moyers | 03/2007 | The Album Leaf Remix of Her Space Holiday's track "The Young Machines" has been licensed for Bill Moyers' documentary "Buying The War" which will air on PBS. In addition, the song will be used in the broadcast commercials. It's not often that you get to license music to such important causes as this, so please, check out the program when it airs.

Fisk Industries Music On Mush | 02/2007 | Mush and the excellent UK label, Highpoint Lowlife, have teamed up to compile all of the available music from electronic maestro Fisk Industries for retrospective release. The aptly titled EPs and Rarities combines the ten-inch releases, The Isle Of Wight EP (2003) and 77 And Rising (2006) with a massive amount of rare material he's released in compilation or digital format between 2003-2006. The release will be a great way to catch up on an exciting artist. |
Qua And Loden To Be Released In USA | 02/2007 | Mush will be introducing two new artists to the US this spring, previously their releases have been solely available outside of the US. Qua, an immensely talented sound designer and multimedia artist from Australia, will see the domestic release of his two full-lengths, 2002's Forgetabout and 2004's Painting Monsters On Clouds. Mush will be teaming up with Australia's influential Surgery Records for the re-release. While Loden's 12 track debut, Valeen Hope, and six-track EP, All That's Left Is Right will also be available in US stores for the first time. Loden's warmly layered electronic productions, reminiscent of M83 or Air's earlier work, are sure to hit home with the American audience. |
Boy In Static Makes A Video | 02/2007 | Boy In Static recently collaborated with Yoshi Sodeoka of C505 to create a video for his track "Where It Ends." The aim was to capture the look and feel of an early '90s space rock video, and they succeeded brilliantly. |

Antimc Remix All Over The Internet | 01/2007 | Antimc teamed up with fellow Los Angeles producer/DJ Them Jeans to create a remix of Europe's "The Final Countdown" to commemorate New Year's Eve 2006-7. They didn't know the excitement would last into the new year, as it is receiving over 1,000 downloads per day on average, and has been posted by such great music blogs as Discobelle, and Still Listen (who have fed it to every major RSS network online), as well as upstarts like Sweden's RiskyBizniz, while clothing company FredFlare has shown it some love on their site as well. |

Pedro To Release New Album On Mush | 01/2007 | Mush Records recently received Pedro's latest release, entitled You, Me & Everyone. This album sees him exploring some new terrain, leaving some of the old folktronica stuff behind and becoming more experimental.
