Sun Glitters - Everything Screams Nostalgia |
Early 2014 brings Sun Glitters most important project to date: his new LP, Scattered Into Light and the album's corresponding singles, remixes, and music videos. The path from the start of Luxembourg musician Victor Ferreira recording as Sun Glitters to the release of Scattered Into Light has been a relatively short, but extremely busy one. Since debuting in 2011, Sun Glitters has been everywhere. With a seemingly never-ending string of EP, album, single and remix releases, and glowing coverage from just about every prominent outlet including Dazed & Confused, XLR8R, The Fader, Pitchfork, The Guardian and Stereogum, Sun Glitters has had a two-plus year stream of attention from the independent scene's most forward thinking taste-makers - all culminating in the release of his career defining LP. |

With Scattered Into Light, Sun Glitters delivers on all the promise of his earlier work. The eleven-track album remains true to the glitchy r&b and deep tech-house sound that has blasted Sun Glitters into the consciousness of electronic music fans over the last two years. Stuttering beats and wobbling synths are soft-focused through a sun-bleached lens in a way that will appeal to synth-pop, ambient, and dubstup fans in equal measure. Scattered Into Light is the first Sun Glitters release to completely integrate a vocalist, as Italian ingenue Sara Cappai lends her talents to over half the tracks. The result is awash with star-gazing melodies, bubbly bass, and textured beats that give equal nod to EDM and hip-hop. |

Though he often collaborates to create his art, Victor Ferreira's distinct and cohesive vision is stamped on every facet of his output. Everything from the band name to the washed out pastels of the artwork to the engulfing visuals that supplement a Sun Glitters live performance screams nostalgia. |
