With the hugely influential Beneath the Surface and production for Freestyle Fellowship to his credit, Omid continues to build his reputation as one of the Los Angeles underground's most respected producers. He's the rare hip-hop vet who refuses to let time or adulation dull his creative instincts. Over the last several years he's remixed the Beastie Boys, produced for Mary Joy's Tags of the Times series, appeared with Anti-Pop Consortium and El-P on Constant Elevation for Astralwerks, and crafted beats for many of the brightest lights in Los Angeles indie hip-hop (2Mex, Abstract Rude, Aceyalone, Busdriver, Dilated Peoples, and Sach). His instrumental release Distant Drummer and Mush debut Monolith have only solidified Omid as one of the most sought after producers in hip-hop.
