FORWARD AFTER FINISHING HIS LABOR DAYS LP FOR DEF JUX, AESOP ROCK BEELINED FROM STUDIO TO BOOKSTORE TO SET OFF A SCI-FI HABIT
"I went through about a five-year period without having read a single novel, so recently I've been trying to catch up. Did you know novels don't have pictures? George Orwell's 1984 was incredible. Most recently I finished the Old Man and the Sea, which was only amazing because of the superior level of excruciating boredom it evokes. I think I grew old reading it and might as well have been stranded at sea. I just started Ray Bradbury's The Martian Chronicles. Too early to tell for sure, but I think this sci-fi thing is going to win me over. I also bought Jimmy Corrigan, the Smartest Kid on Earth by F.C. Ware. It has some of the freshest illustrations I've seen in a minute and an overall dope layout."
