4 Bonjour's Parties Obscurity In Sound	12/2008	4 Bonjour's Parties were featured in Obscure Sound, a music blog curated by Mike Mineo, a regular contributor to Pop Matters. The feature provides an informative insight into the band's influences and personal stylings. Mineo waxes lyrical about 4 Bonjour's Parties debut, Pigments Drift Down To The Brook, accrediting them with creating "something that is magnificiently cohesive and dazzingly gratifying". An absolute must read.

K-The-I??? Profiled On Ragged Words	12/2008	After getting a great review from the site, Ragged Words has asked K-The-I??? to create a list of records that have influenced his life. The collection is called "My Life In Records" and is a great read into what influences an artist (and even, dare we say, a person).

Head Like A Kite Imaginary Show Review	12/2008	Seattle blogettes Three Imaginary Girls checked out the Head Like A Kite show at Neumo's and wrote up a great review of the show, which was opened by Seattle electronic group Truckasaurus.

James Rutledge AKA Pedro Sells Radiohead Videotape Remix For Charity	12/2008	James Rutledge has composed a four-hour remix of Radiohead's track "Videotape." In association with the UK charity, Missing People, Pedro is selling the only existing copy - which has since been signed by all the members of Radiohead - on eBay. Pitchfork has an article about the sale, including links to the eBay auction.

K-The-I??? On The Cover Of The L.A. Record	12/2008	Rapper/romantic K-The-I??? was featured on the front page of the L.A. Record. The artcile deals a bit in his music, but dwells much more heavily on his foreign language skills and romantic prospects, and is entitled KoNichiWa Wack Rapper!

Her Space Holiday Cracks Top 5 On The CMJ Top 200	12/2008	Her Space Holiday's latest, XOXO, Panda And The New Kid Revival has cracked #5 on CMJ's Top 200 chart this week. A huge thanks to all of the DJs that are playing this record and all of the music directors programming it. Also, a huge thanks to everyone who is calling to request the album at their local stations. If you haven't heard XOXO, Panda on your local station, give them a call and request it.

Head Like A Kite Vs. The Bionic Ear	12/2008	Seattle-based Indie Rock Reviews has created an ingenious online feature called the Bionic Ear Session in which an act performs while a crew shoots them and they film a quick one-off music video for the performance. They recently shot a Bionic Ear Session with fellow Seattlites(?) Head Like A Kite for the track "We Were So Entangled."

Better Propaganda's Best Of The Decade	12/2008	Better Propaganda is counting down a list of the 100 Top Artists of the first decade, of the twenty first century. Among those listed are Mush Record's very own: Daedelus, Busdriver, Aesop Rock and Nobody; and, keeping them company are some of the most influential and prevalent artists of our time: Arcade Fire, Kanye West, Modest Mouse, Radiohead, Jay Z, and The White Stripes. Congratulations on a truly accomplished, accreditation and a huge thank you to those who voted. But, the commendations don't end there, Daedelus gain more recognition on the list of Top 100 Albums coming in at #10 with Denies The Day's Demise. In similar news, Better Propaganda listed their choices for the decade's Top 50 Labels, which included such heavyweights as XL, Merge, Matador, Domino, and none other than your very own Mush Records. Thanks to Better Propaganda for the nod!

Head Bites A Bike, Eliot Gets A Machine	11/2008	Head Like A Kite's frontman, Dave Einmo was featured in the latest issue of URB magazine telling a sordid tale of his First Morphine experience as it coincided with, his presumably first experience of being stripped naked by paramedics on a mountain. Is it a coincidence that Kool Keith spins the yarn of his first time in a strip club merely one page before? You decide. Eliot Lipp appears in the issue as well, waxing electronic about his First Sampler. True-love weights, y'all.

Her Space Holiday On Dirty Sexy Money	11/2008	Her Space Holiday's "The New Kid Revival," from XOXO, Panda And The New Kid Revival, has been licensed for use on ABC TV's hit Dirty Sexy Money. The track will play at the beginning of Episode 208, which airs Wednesday, Dec. 3 at 10pm.

Head Like A Kite Does Weekend America	11/2008	If you're driving around this weekend, try to find the week's "Weekend America" radio show on your Public Radio station (the show airs on Saturday Nov. 22nd at various times depending on your local station's schedule). Head Like A Kite cap off a west-coast tour with an interview on this nationwide program. The people at "Weekend America" have also added a feature to their website with the interview.

K-The-I??? In NME	11/2008	The New Musical Express has profiled K-The-I??? (and shown a bit of love for Thavius Beck as well) in the Radar section of their latest issue.

Her Space Holiday KCRW Exclusive Film	11/2008	Continuing in his run of short films based on music from XOXO, Panda..., Her Space Holiday has put together a short film exclusively for KCRW's music director Nic Harcourt. Check out the episode in both audio and video at the KCRW site.

K-The-I??? Album Release Party	11/2008	K-The-I??? and Thavius Beck will be performing at LA's Low End Theory at a special album release party for Yesterday, Today & Tomorrow. Also on the bill will be electronic producer Dibia$e.

The Scottish Legion Of Illuminated Magnificents	11/2008	The Magnificents, KFM Records, and Mush Records are pleased to announce a joint venture, The Scottish Legion Of Illuminated Magnificents. The label will handle the release of the Magnificents' latest album Year Of Explorers, as well as their back catalog of EPs and full-length releases. Year Of Explorers will be released next month and the label will continue to issue releases through the first half of 2009.

K-The-I??? Ghetto Blaster Mixtape Spot	11/2008	Ghetto Blaster Magazine has begun to put together mixtapes of their favorite songs every month. The Mixes are downloadable from their site, and this month's features our own K-The-I???'s track "Decisions" from Yesterday, Today & Tomorrow. It also features Deerhoof, Roots Manuva, The Sea & Cake, and more.

Daedelus Back In The USA	11/2008	Daedelus has a select amount of upcoming dates in the US and Mexico. He's been touring hard the last couple years and his live show continues to grow increasingly more energetic. If you have not seen him, please be sure to catch him on these dates.

Her Space Holiday For Sony Playstation Network	11/2008	Her Space Holiday has licensed a track from an upcoming release to Sony, for use in a spot for their Playstation Network. The spot is now available to watch.

Her Space Verite	11/2008	Her Space Holiday recently sat down with the folks from Indieoma to discuss the state of the record business. On the panel with him were Warp artist Jimmy Edgar, Kevin Morris of World's Fair, and Nate Krenkel of Team Love Records. Check out Vox Verite and hear what these guys have to say about why people aren't buying records as much as they used to, and who's fault that may be.

Lymbyc Systym Supporting Crystal Castles	10/2008	Mike Bell of Lymbyc Systym has been touring with intergender-electro duo Crystal Castles as their drummer. He'll be bringing his brother in on this latest CC tour, and will be supporting them on a series of US and Canadian dates this month. Live Music Blog has previewed the New York show at Webster Hall. Antimc Nike 3X3	10/2008	Nike has recently released three films by three directors for a new campaign aptly named 3X3. The first set of three was directed by Adam Jay Weissman, and uses music composed by Matt Alsberg aka Antimc. This is the second Nike campaign to use his music, the first being the Nike Vintage "Running to Win."

Her Space Holiday's Penultimate Film	10/2008	Her Space Holiday's XOXO, Panda And The New Kid Revival will be in stores this month. The second to last installment of her promotional videos, "The Best Part Of My Day" is available now for view.

Clue To Kalo Album Preview Shows	10/2008	Clue To Kalo will be playing a set of five preview dates in anticipation of the release of his upcoming full-length, Lily Perdida. Her Space Holiday Video Rollout	10/2008	The next installment of Her Space Holidauy's promo videos is up and ready for viewing. The title of this chapter is "The Cat Of 1000 Names."

Head Like A Kite Dates	10/2008	Head Like A Kite have a series of dates in October and November, in addition, they'll be playing a live in-studio session on X1 FM on November 14. Not to mention a special event at the Yakima Sports Center to wrap up the filming of these tour dates for a special project to be release later this year. Check show previews from the Portland Tribune and Zed Equalsd Zee, and a tour preview feature from the Seattle Times. The Yakima Herald has written a preview feature of the Sports Center Show. Thavius Beck's New Album, New Dates	10/2008	Thavius Beck has submitted his third release to Mush Records, entitled Dialogue. It features more appearances from Thavius on the mic than his past releases. Look for the album in early 2009. In the meantime, Thavius will be playing a handful of dates across the United States. Clue To Kalo Profiled In Japan's Cookie Scene	10/2008	On his journey back to Australia, Clue To Kalo performed in Japan. Japanese magazine Cookie Scene interviewed him, while he was there, about his upcoming full-length, Lily Perdida.

Daedelus In Europe	10/2008	Daedelus will be in Europe this month in support of his latest release, Love To Make Music By, on Ninja Tune. He will, of course, also be playing plenty from his back catalog. If you haven't seen Daedelus, it is definitely a treat for your ears and your feet. Also, catch Daedelus in Los Angeles on Halloween at the Hard Mansion party. We've added information for all 20+ dates to our shows page.

Curse Ov Dialect Performances	10/2008	Curse Ov Dialect will be holding two special performances this week in Australia; the first is a play in Melbourne, and the second is a showcase in Newcastle. If you are in the Great Southern Land, dates and information have been added.

Eliot Lipp US Dates Continue Pouring In	09/2008	Eliot Lipp is now back at it, playing a series of live shows throughout the West Coast and Midwest with old-rave juggernauts Sound Tribe Sector 9. A total of 15 dates have been locked in and have been added.

Digital Online Store	09/2008	After months of work, Mush Records is pleased to present the newest addition to our website, the digital online store. All Digital Releases are DRM free 320 kbps mp3 files in a self-extracting zipped file. Our releases are available as complete albums only. No individual song downloads are available. We believe this is the best way to experience the music we release. Digital Releases can be downloaded one time only using a link sent to you in your order conformation email. A zipped folder will be downloaded to your computer's default download location (often your desktop). After extracting, you will have a folder named with the release catalog number. Inside of that folder are the mp3s for the downloaded release with all of the metadata and artwork already embedded in the files. Just add the files to whatever program you are using to play mp3s. Full length albums will sell for $7, EPs will sell for $3, and our 7" singles will sell for $2. Check back often in the next few weeks as more titles will be made available. Mush Records is happy to announce a new wrinkle in our digital store. From now on, when you purchase any piece of vinyl from the Mush Records Online Store, you will receive an email containing a link good for a free one-time download of the title you purchased. That's right. No need to buy a USB turntable or cut up tracks anymore. No need to hook your table up to a CD burner. From now on, all vinyl titles will be packaged with free corresponding downloads.

Her Space Holiday Calls Out Beyonce Look-Alikes	09/2008	The fourth installment of Her Space Holiday's promo video cavalcade, "Everyone Lookin' Like Beyoncé" is up and ready for viewing. This video features the track "This Seat Is Definitely Taken" from the Sleepy Tigers EP, which is the lead single from HSH's XOXO, Panda And The New Kid Revival.

Q&A With Qua	09/2008	The mighty Cornell Wilzcek, aka Qua, has submitted a new full-length for release in the US on Mush Records. The album, entitled Q&A, is full of dance-friendly beats and big, big drums. This is his second full-length recorded in 2008, the first of which being Silver Red, a collection of more ambient compositions that was released this summer. We've added a feature from The Vine in which Cornell discusses Silver Red, among other things.

Her Space Holiday Bank Job	09/2008	Her Space Holiday's track "Sleepy Tigers" has been seeing a lot of TV time recently around the world. This time, the song pops up in a spot for Australia's Bendigo Bank called "Community."

Culture Critics	09/2008	There comes a time in an artist's career when they become appreciated not just for their own contributions, but for their ability to judge others' contributions. Their opinion is valued due to their own output, and people stand up and take note of what they say. That day has come for Head Like A Kite's Trent Moorman, who was interviewed by KEXP's DJ Sharlese at this year's Bumbershoot festival.

Daedelus And Eliot Lipp Show Review From A Living Room	09/2008	Recently, Eliot Lipp and Daedelus played a series of live performances together, including a performance at Tufts University. Campus police broke the show up early, however Eliot and Alfred merely moved the venue to the promoter's living room! A writer from Prefix was there and penned a great review of the show, which also featured Machine Drum.

New Lymbyc Systym US Dates	09/2008	Lymbyc Systym have put together a series of US dates (plus a Canadian), before brother Mike heads out on the road as the drummer for Crystal Castles this fall. Bradley's Almanac, a music blog from Boston, has a free ticket giveaway contest running for the show at Harper's Ferry.

Her Space Holiday For Cox Cable	08/2008	Congratulations to Her Space Holiday on yet another national advertising license. "Sleepy Tigers" has been picked up for use in Cox Communications' new ad campaign.

Head Like A Kite Eat, Drink, And Play	08/2008	Head Like A Kite recently sat down to eat and play for the good people at Songs For Eating And Drinking at the Sand Point Naval Air Station. Her Space Holiday Promo Video: The Sequel	08/2008	Marc Bianchi has sent over the second of the Her Space Holiday promotional short films he has shot based on music from the upcoming XOXO, Panda And The New Kid Revival. So, grab some popcorn... but not too much... and check out "Feel Better Birdie."

Bibio At Home And Away	08/2008	Bibio will be playing the Greenman Festival in Wales. His performance will be accompanied by screenings of his exclusive Super 8 films. In addition to performing, he has recently remixed work for fellow English artists Wax Stag and Epic45. The remix of Wax Stag's "Folk Rock" finds Bibio working in elements not usually found in his records, big vocal harmonies and drum arrangements; the remix of Epic45's "The Stars In Autumn" again finds Bibio working in percussion and drum arrangements, giving the track a bit of a samba flavor. For fans of Bibio, these two remixes will defintely be worth checking out. Info for the Greenman Festival is available on our shows page.

Busdriver And Antimc... Pennyaires Both	08/2008	After hearing Li'l Wayne's "A Milli" and arguing over how many units he actually sold in his first week in stores, Busdriver and Antimc decided to make a track that reflected how they're living, and hit the lab to create "Pennyaire." The track has been getting some web love, being mentioned by Urb, So Much Silence, Above The Fold, and Grandgood.

Head Like A Kite West Coast Dates	08/2008	Head Like A Kite will be embarking on their first bit of out-of-state touring since the release of There Is Loud Laughter Everywhere. Included in the dates are a couple of Seattle shows, of course. Here are the first show previews from The Arizona Star's Caliente, Yahoo!'s Upcoming calendar, and the Salt Lake Tribune, as well as features from the Tucson Weekly and Movement Magazine. Her Space Holiday Promotional Shorts	08/2008	Marc Bianchi has put together a set of short films centered around the music from his latest Her Space Holiday album XOXO, Panda And The New Kid Revival. The films capture the carefree mood of the music, and attempt to convey some of the changes Marc went through in the last few years between albums, and what inspired him to develop his new songwriting persona, XOXO, Panda. The first video is called "New Kid Revival Opener."

Eliot Lipp In Imprint Magazine	07/2008	Eliot Lipp recently played the Camp Bisco Festival in New York, and spoke to Imprint Magazine's Julian Williams about his live set and his new album, The Outside. The profile includes Eliot's description of his growth as an artist, and why he missed Snoop's set at the festival.

Head Like A Kite Show Review	07/2008	Three Imaginary Girls were checking out the Capitol Hill Block Party in Seattle and made sure to catch Head Like A Kite's set, which featured a minimal amount of costume changes, but plenty of help from some local Seattle luminaries. They were moved enough to write a great review of the set.

Eliot Lipp On Gear On TV On The Web	07/2008	Eliot Lipp took a camera crew from XLR8R down into his Manhattan basement studio and on a jaunt to the record store to show off the tons of analog gear he uses to record and his music buying proclivities. XLR8R edited down the footage into a piece entitled "Eliot Lipp Sometimes Goes Outside" for XLR8R TV.

Head Like A Kite Internet Press	07/2008	The Head Like A Kite press push continues with three internet items. There is an interview on Australian music-webzine Wireless Bollinger, a short profile at the end of a Paper Thin Walls Single File review and a feature on Head Like A Kite and Their Is Loud Laughter Everywhere on NeuFutur Magazine. In a semi-press related note, "No Ordinary Caveman" was also the Song Of The Day on KEXP for July 4th.

Sleepy Tigers Got Juice	07/2008	"Sleepy Tigers" the leadoff single from Her Space Holiday's soon-to-be-released XOXO, Panda And The New Kid Revival, has been licensed to Sun Rype juice for their latest campaign.

Loden Mixes The Classics	07/2008	As one of his last acts before making a move into his bigger Brussels digs, Loden put together this mix for The New Worck, an exclusive mixtape blog. His taste, as evidenced by his albums, is pretty spot on, and the mix is a must-listen for fans of hip-hop, electronic, folk, '60s rock, and anything else that has notes.

Lymbyc Systym Best New Band From Arizona	07/2008	It's not often that you'll hear Lymbyc Systym and Stevie Nicks in one sentence together. However, The Boston Phoenix and it's readers and writers have compiled their Best Bands from all 50 states, naming a Best All-Time Band, Best All-Time Solo Artist, and Best New Band from all 50 states. Arizona's best band, all-time, was the Sun City Girls, best all-time solo act was Stevie Nicks, and the new best band from Arizona was Lymbyc Systym! Congratulations fellas, and we won't mention any recent relocations.

New Boy In Static Video	07/2008	Boy In Static has teamed up with House Of Yes to create a video for the track "First Love" from his Mush Records debut, Violet. Staying in the vein of alternative rock videos that inspired his previous clip for "Where It Ends," the video captures Boy In Static's music perfectly.
