Her Space Holiday Licensed To V212/2003Great news from Her Space Holiday's European home, Wichita Recordings: Her Space Holiday has been licensed to V2 for Europe. This is a great move for both Wichita and Her Space Holiday and should mean an even bigger push on The Young Machines. Look for a much greater exposure for Her Space Holiday in markets like France and Germany.
Boards Of Canada Remix cLOUDDEAD12/2003Dead Dogs Two, the lead single from the new cLOUDDEAD full-length, Ten will be released in January with an amazing Beatles-esque remix by Boards of Canada.
Transmusicales12/2003If you are in France on December 4th, 5th, and 6th, be sure to check out Transmusicales. The three-day outdoor festival includes performances from the most prominent electronic artists in Europe. Busdriver, Radioinactive, and Daedelus will perform as The Weather on the 6th.

Clue To Kalo Touring In Support Of Themselves11/2003Clue To Kalo, manifesting as Mark Mitchell with Curtis on guitar and Alan on drums, are making the jump over to the states to play over 25 dates around the United States and Canada in an opening spot for anticon's Themselves. Both acts will also be making a stop in New York City at our CMJ showcase. The dates have been added to our shows page.

 
Colette11/2003The French boutique, Colette, has licensed The Weather track, "Weather Locklear" and the Her Space Holiday track, "The Young Machines," for their mixed compilation CD, The Chill of Colette. The beautifully packaged CD includes tracks by M83, Richard X, Psychonauts, and B. Fleishmann among others.
Clue To Kalo On Australian National Radio11/2003Triple J, Australia's national new music radio station, has chosen Clue to Kalo to be featured as November's Home & Hosed show. If you live in Australia, check out the Home & Hosed show weeknights from 9PM - 11PM. If you are outside of Australia, visit the Triple J website for a live stream. To tie into the radio show, Triple J have also conducted an interview with Clue to Kalo, and named him a "Next Crop Artist."

The lineup will include Her Space Holiday, Clue To Kalo, The Weather, a DJ set by Omid and a special performance by Themselves (featuring Doseone of cLOUDDEAD). Thavius Beck And The Opus Deliver Releases To Mush09/2003Mush has picked up two amazing new releases to drop in early 2004.

The first comes from Los Angeles producer Thavius Beck. His release, Decomposition, is a mix of instrumental and vocal tracks that features guest appearances from Cedric Bixler-Zavala of The Mars Volta, Longevity of Darkleaf, and Subtitle.

The second release comes from a Chicago production duo, The Opus. After a string of successful releases producing for Ruberroom and the Japanese label Tri-Eight, The Opus have created an amazing instrumental release called Breathing Lessons. We've unearthed last year's Urb "Next 100" article on The Opus.

 
Clue To Kalo Big On CMJ RPM Chart08/2003Congratulations to Clue To Kalo on reaching #7 on the CMJ RPM Chart, and for charting his debut American album up to #75 on the CMJ Top 200. An impressive showing for a new artists to the States. A huge thanks to all of the radio DJs giving our records spins!

 
Curse Ov Dialect Get American Radio Play08/2003American college radio has discovered Curse Ov Dialect and likes what it hears: the Australian born band have charted #40 in CMJ's top 200 and have hit #19 on CMJ's hip hop chart. Congratulations to them and a big thanks to all those DJ's who have been airing their music.

Her Space Holiday To Release Music On Mush08/2003We are thrilled to announce that Her Space Holiday has agreed to release his new full-length album, The Young Machines, on Mush this fall. He comes to Mush after a string of successful releases on Tigerstyle including Manic Expressive and Home Is Where You Hang Yourself, and a number of successful tours with artists such as Bob Mould, Bright Eyes, Arab Strap, and the Faint. His European releases will continue to be handled by one of the UK's top labels, Wichita.

Back press on Her Space Holiday includes features in Rockpile, Mojo, Devil in the Woods, Jockey Slut, Pulse, DJ, Sleaze Nation, Alternative Press, CMJ, and are now available for viewing.

Curse Ov Dialect On AMO07/2003The Australian online music website AMO recently spoke to DJ Paso Bionic of Curse Ov Dialect for a profile; discussing the state of Australian music past, present, and future. They also wrote a feature on the group and their latest album, Lost in the Real Sky.
